When the great Rafi Sahib left this world all of a sudden, he was enjoying a great surgence and was reigning the music charts as this article will illustrate. Furthermore, songs sung by Rafi which did not enjoy much popularity initially (due to the movies faring poorly) are more remembered than songs sung by other singers, especially in the 1977 and 1983 phase, even though Rafi Sahib left us in 1980. – Mohan Flora
