Rafi’s grandson makes a debut
Meet Fuzail Rafi, Rafi Sahab’s grandson.
The talent show ‘Mera Star Superstar’ which aims at unearthing young talent in singing, acting and dancing (between the ages 5-14 years) saw a surprise entrant. Fuzail Rafi (12), grandson of the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi was declared the first runner-up in the audition rounds.

The 50 short-listed candidates from across the country will now compete for a scholarship of Rs 5 lakh. The show will go on air in September on Star Plus.

Im overwhelmed after reading the name of our new surprise entrant, Fuzail Rafi.. Im a die hard fans of Mohd Rafi saab and its a pleasure to see his grandson following his footsteps.. my best wishes to him..

Dear Fuzail,
Just don’t be a GOOD SINGER as your grandfather but also learn and you have a chance to be a HUMBLE, KIND HEARTED , ROYAL , CALM NATURE like MOHD.RAFI SAHAB . So just do not go after talent but also be a good human being … and see KAAMYABI INSHALLAH TUMHARE KADAM CHUMEGI.

Yeh khabar bahut hi mubarak hai ke Rafi saheb ki family ke chashm-o-chiragh ki roshni se ek baar phir sangeet ki duniya ke roshan hone ke imkaanaat roushan huey hain.
FUZAIL RAFI….. aks-e- lakht-e-jigar- e-Rafi. KHUDA tumhe Rafi saheb jaise fazeelat aur bulandi ata karay, hamari duayen tumhare saath hain.

i was not satisfied by mohamed farook comments k that sonu nigam was useless mere bhai just dont use that words useless for sonu becoz he is the only singer who has some kind of resembles of rafi saab i wish for succesful future to rafi saab grandson

Congratulations to young FUZAIL for taking part in the talent show, being short listed and selected.
I am ONE of the die-hard FANS of the legendary RAFI Sahib and am glad that his grandson is trying to follow his grand dad’s footsteps, I would like to wish him all the BEST! My sincere advice to FUZAIL is that side by side, he should also develop all the Excellent Qualities of his grand dad. What a ‘KIND’, ‘HUMBLE’ and ‘GODLY’ human being he was!
This coming Monday (July 31st,2006), it is going to be 26th anniversary of his passing and we all will be remembering him and paying our tributes, and shridhanjily’s through various programs and local Radio Shows arranged for the day around Toronto,Canada.
