Rafi saab is a saint, we have truly spent listless years without Rafi saab. He was available for all music directors, he has sung the first songs of numerous MDs which is a record in itself. Rafi used to take rupee one as a token for a song in many many cases. Royalties he shunned. Normally when a person leaves this world he is adored and his values recalled and appreciated. But the CRUEL industry in 1980 gave the best singer award to an inferior track inspite of three nominations in the name of Rafi saab. WE music lovers urge the Central Govt to honour Mohd. Rafi with the Bharat Ratna award at the earliest. Raju Bharatan saab:
