i am also die hard fan of Rafi Saheb. No one can match is verstallity. He was , is and will be immortal in our hearts and hearts of millions of his followers forever and evr. I relate to his every song of his with a clear picture of when i heard those songs for the 1st time in my life. He is the only person who bring me to tears with all his ve;vet voice songs. I have even told my family members that when I breathe my last I want them to play Rafi songs-my favorites through out the day.My soul will rest in peace. I want to carry his song/voice with me in my next life also……

its very difficult to say anything about rafi ji because he was such a great person that every compliment is like a stone that is thrown in the sea……in disappears like stone disappears in the sea……….i am very happy when i see persons like u who holds such a great person in his heart in todays modern world where old songs r disappearing……..but dere r still many persons who loves rafi ji as he loves his life………………

thanks sanjeev for your love-filled article on rafisaheb. the only shortcoming in it is your erroneous assumption that rafisaheb’s fans are hindi speakers only, which is not true, and i’m a proof of that. i don’t come from an indian or a hindi-speaking background. i believe that’s why you didn’t bother to translate (into english) the hindi text contained in your interesting piece of writing. i wish that in the future you, and others, to please use an english rendition of every hindi/urdu text you include in your writings. regardless of this oversight, i immensly enjoyed reading these sentimental anecodes
