may be lata mangeshkar is a good singer but she was always involved in controversy if u look at her past career you will find some drastic things…….these are reports was very famous in 60’s and 70’s that lata made some furious call to other female singers to not try to sing in bollywood,she bluster some of her competitor it was only her sister who made some business in that period and after this incidence it was inevitable…………….but on the other side mohd rafi and kishore was a good human being, as they were very good at others even when they were at peak……

There are two small corrections…..
Pardesiyon Se Na Ankhiyan Milana- Jab Jab Phool Khile
Dil Jo Na Keh Saka- Bheegi Raat
are both sung by Lata Mangeshkar, not by Suman Kalyanpur!!!

those songs r mindbloing songs its a old songs but feel now at present its recorded that kind of magic of rafi saab s immomrta voice.
I have no words about his new songs total 6 songs iliked and mostly teri ada title track in my opinion those days wich they recorded released he create blockbuster magic of music lovers

the problemis not that Lata wanted amount from for her songs she wantted Mohd Rafi to be with her,we don’t say she was wrong if she want more amount but only to say that she stop singing with Mohd Rafi,only don’t forget why she stop singing for SJ and SD burman?offourse Lata ji was a great singeras female only the people who knows abount music and they don’t like Mohd Rafi they compare Lata Ji with Mohd Rafi not KK.

it is not mean if two singers singed the same song one song was hit and other not it not mean that is the greater singer,there is a song singed by Lata ji and Mr Bachchan and mr Bachchan song is more hit than Lata ji it not mean that Mr bachchan singed hit better than Lata ji…….offourse Mohd Rafi is the best singer ever born and never be born again….

When it comes to who was better Rafi or Lata, one has to look at the same songs sung by both singers. In every instance the song sung by Rafi was far more popular. Some of the examples of these songs are Ehsan tera hoga (Junglee), Ja Par kisi say hota hai(film title song), Mere Mehboob(film title song), Dil Jo na Heh saka whoee razay dil kehne ki raat aai” (Ghazal), Padesion say na ankhein milana (jab jab phool khele) and many more. In each instance one clearly remembers the Rafi version, as it was played more often on the radio.This leaves no doubt who was the better singer, and why the misunderstanding hurt Lata more than Rafi. Rafi got to sing far more numbers with Suman Kayanpur (Lata’s clone) than Lata got to sing with Mahender Kapoor (Rafi clone).

One quick question: If Lata had succeeded, who would fit the bill? HMV or the producers for the film? You can say both, but my guess is that HMV would be getting the short end of the stick and they deserve it. These people at HMV have little understanding or care for Hindi music - they only see it as a means for profit - nothing more. I think both singers were OK to choose the stances each did.

This also means you guys shouldn’t be bashing Lataji. She was right to do what she did - fight for singer rights. If it was for her, herself only, she could have easily attained it. I do wish Rafi Sahab joined her against HMV - the people that EXPLOITED culture. Her wanting to avoid getting taken advantage of by the cold blooded HMV company (if my assumption is true about HMV footing the bill) is to be COMMENDED.

I don’t agree with the criticism for Lata seeking airfare, hotel accomodation, 1 lakh. Mohammed Rafi is NOT your average human that you can compare everyone against - he is a saint.

The voice of Rafi cannot be replaced. Rafi is the Play back Singer of India.
That holy man should be honored with Bharat Ratna Award posthumously. His soul will be peaceful and those of millions of Indians.

Lata had problems also with Jesudas !
