C. Approach the Government Machinery to honor Mohd Rafi Saab posthumously with ‘Bharat Ratna Award’.

D. To celebrate ‘24th every month as Rafi melody day in every city and town .

All Fans of Rafi Sahib, JAI HIND !
It is a great news for every fan of Rafi Sahib that Mohd. Rafi Music Academy is going to be established in Mumbai. Really, it is amazing that someone is so serious about the path, that Rafi showed the world throughout his whole life. The Headquarters of this proposed Academy should be in Mumbai and its branches should be executed in every city of India. The City level (Mohd. Rafi Memorial) Societies should be autonomous, however, they should definitely be affiliated with the above-mentioned Mother Academy of Mumbai. Local City level office-bearers may operate these Societies. Initially, such iniatiatives may be at personal level and afterwards, it might be a National level CAMPAIGN. These Societies will hold the functions in the memory of Rafi Sahib on 31st July & 24th December every year. These functions may include the QUIZ, ANTAKSHRI & other competitions, based upon the songs of Rafi Sahib. The proposed Newsletter may be in English & Marathi languages at Mumbai Headquarters. All the regional Societies will translate this Newsletter in their different regional languages i.e. Punjabi, Haryanvi, Dogri, Bhojpuri, Telgu, Tamil, Malyalam, Urdu, Uriya, Kanadda and distribute the same among laymen. The Rafi Awards may be given to the young talents and others, who ‘ll fulfill the conditions of the Societies. This CAMPAIGN may go Overseas also, then the Societies of abroad would also translate that Newsletter in the languages of respective countries. All these proposed State level Societies ‘ll spread the Musical Messages of Rafi Sahib to this World. These Societies ‘ll struggle to get announced Bharat Ratna for Rafi Sahib posthumously. These Societies may also be busy in other Social Service Activities. These will do the same activities on the same days as the Mother Academy would day on the particular day. The
Rafi Museum will naturally be distinctive. We should strive to change this CAMPAIGN into a MOVEMENT.
Mr. Binu Nair, Mr. Anmol Singh, Mr. Mohan Flora, Mr. P. Narayannan, Mr. Parvez (Kochin-Kerala) may also give their valuable suggestions in this regard.

    Dear Anmol,
    Great Plan indeed!
But for such a path to reach its objective a concrete plan has to be put forward! A Project Report -and to put in simple words-including costs of land, buildings, staff, recurring expences, feasibility and non-feasibility of the scheme etc etc- with a certain head load should be put forward. Collection of funds etc. with perfect bank accounting and auditing is another matter. That will be a collective effort and no Rafian in this world will back out from it. The Rafian will put in the best he can-for him and for others it is just that any project in the name of Rafisaab should reach its fulfillment. It should be a success. We would be doing a great injustice to Rafisaab’s memory if any project in his memory does not succeed. So, before taking any step forward in announcing such a major project we should be ready with the groundwork- Rest will follow!

I agree with you, brajpan ji. but this is done ‘unintentionally’.
the word rafian sounds crude since its associated with the
most ‘gentle’ personality and legend singer of our times.
