Biman, to your question: God knows whe Feroze Khan “converted to Mukesh and Kishore Kumar in late 60s and 70s, the answer really is simple. Feroze Khan was usually stereotyped into doing the role of the hero’s friend o foil who sacrifies his love or life at the end of the story. Feroze Khan fame mainly rests on his roles as Producer-Director of fine movies. His QURBANI had become a legendary success and his stock rose up. Not to speak of his champagne parties at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay at the huge success of this film. Nazia’s AAP JAISA KOEE MEREE… was truly a chartbuster song in that movie. DHARMATMA is one film I personally liked the best among his movies – thanks to that Afghanistan romance and the beautiful Hema Malini and his inspiration from GODFATHER which incidentally remained banned in India for 12 years.

Generally, what is worth remembering here is that most movies of the heroes are remembered for the songs of Rafi Sahaab. So EK SAPERA EK LUTERA also falls under that category. How can we indeed forget: HAMM TUMSE JUDAAH HOKE….

we don’t know why Faroz Khan not used mohd Rafi as we all know that all songs sang by Mohd Rafi was hit and still on the top,As I think that Faroz khan didn’t want to be famous as romantic actor (as I think)he he never was famouse for his good music

Anybody has thought why rafi sahab? guys one voice that connects to u r soul irrespective of cast,creed,class,religion.voice that takes u to a world….world with no boudaries no limitations . INFINITY is d way i define this voice.can u imagine a voice still so fresh as if recording has been done just moment back, mesmerizing and intoxicating- people like us for more than a decade and is as timeless and as eternal still and will may be for another 1000″s of years.an ordinaryfarmer,a aristrocatic buisnessman, a royal king,a miniscule child , a romantic teen…..every entity of society cud relate to this encapsulating voice.
voice with all expressions u can imgine, voice with clarity like still water and shines like rays of sun , voice with inbuilt bass and frequency of its own, voice that enchants u and makes u believe that u know this man for ages, voice that enters u r hearts with ease and refuses to leave its spell on you……..gentlemen this is Mohd Rafi sahab. Rafi Sahab’s another song filmized on Firoz khan for Movie Oonche Log is masterpiece. Jaag Dil-e-Deewana Rut Jaagi vasle yaar ki. Great morning song.

There is only one song where Rafi has done yodelling and shown the world that he is equally good in that but he hasn’t adopted that on any other song. You know why. A small error. Feroz Kahn did not have any songs in “Mela”. In fact, the duet “Rut Hai Milan Ki” was picturised on Sanjay and Mumtaz.
