If you want to compare him then compare from others singers of this age…Like udit jee, kumar sanu,…..then u all will figure out ….

Rafi jee is always best …sonu jee is going in his way very right !

Please don’t compare him…

If you have clearly listen ever the voice of sonu nigam….then you people won’t be critisizing him…

He is the one the singer who proved himself not only but also….much popular and when he sing any song its like a history…

he always give more than 100 % , he tried his level as no can can try like him, he proved his way no one can stand up….on that way….

each song …..either hindi album…. or movie song or even kanada always hit…..if same song sung by some1 else then the flavour and image of the actor also changes…

Plesase don’t compare to Rafi Sahab.. Rabi jee is like a icon by that any one can start to learning singing like himmmm……

and sonu’s main guru jee is Rafi Sahab..

i am listing few songs if you clearly listen then you will feell like what sonu nigam has and Rabii jee would be proud of himmm…

even all songs i always enjoy..i am great fan of himm….

his voice has youthfulness , clear & 100 %

He is fantastic , mind blowing , fabulousness , lust

any new comer would like to become like him….but its not possible to copy his voice….Never…he is unique and he put himself very hard in his careers…made a place in all our heart…

I agree 110% with the above post! Listen to rabba mere rabba or tanhai or bawri piya..could name many many more songs.. I mean this guy is a legend of today’s time and Rafi saab would have been so proud of Sonu. Why so much criticism?

all these people are simply dumb…they have a particular mindset that there can’t be better singers after rafi sahab,kishore da,lataji,ashaji..and all..i ask why????
how come are they so sure??this kind of thinking may be..i am saying just may be true…but who has given you people the rights to criticize someone as great as sonu niigaam..are you even aware of how talented,prodigal,and above all down to earth this guy is…can you even realize that how tough his songs are…ya they may not be as tough as rafi sahab’s but that does not make him anything less..why should he be a rafi prototype….
I MEAN WHAT CRIME HAS THIS GREAT SINGER SONU NIIGAAM COMMITTED?? WHY DOES EVERYONE COMPARE HIM WITH MOHD.RAFI??
HOW MUCH MORE DOES HE HAVE TO DO TO MAKE PEOPLE REALIZE THAT HE IS A LEGEND IN HIS OWN RIGHTS??
he is not trying to copy rafi sahab…he just wants to promote rafi sahab’s legacy ..to keep him alive in today’s generation’s hearts..now if that is a crime
and if that way he is demeaning rafi..god will punish him..and will punish me because i vouch for him….if what he is doing is right ..remember all u people who are criticizing him..u are insulting someone who even your favourite rafi sahab would have been proud of had he been alive today.

I am great fan of Rafi everybody think so that he is the greatest fan of Rafo so do I.
I have learned my music by hearing rafi songs so has sonu( That is what he says ) I saw a programe live on stage when sonu was just 15 years of age and he sand “Madhuban Mein radhika Naache Re” . Th whole Audience was spell bound. I too was surprised to hear a singer (just 15 yrs age ) and singing a very difficult song of rafi live on stage.
He was later on asked how old r u he replied 15 yrs Wow 15 yrs singing like that. We must encourage new talent particularly those who dont just sing but know music.
Sonu is a fresh talent an ardent fan of rafi . He has a big photograph of Rafi in his house and he worships his god.
That is for me end of it no fight he loves rafi we love rafi.

to all those people who are criticising sonu ji…..i would just like to remind that they are criticizing someone who has proved himself time and again..who is himself a great..can’t u get the simple fact that no singer can copy another’s style??why should sonu sound like a rafi sahab’s prototype????he is the one who has ressurected youth interest in rafi’s songs..and classical music through his classically mild album..Rafi sahab had he been very happy with his great disciple sonuji…and someone has written that he felt that he felt he is better than sonu niigaam…….That’s why u are a nobody and he is sonu niigaam..criticizing people through blogs is even easier than criticizing reality show contestants….if any one has anything else to say…write to me..i will reply on my idol’s behalf.i myself am a singer..and i am really impressed by what sonu niigaam is doing for his idol..i sincerely hope i can do the same for him one day…….

People use to count greatness by counting his fame, wealth and other power but they seldom mistake in counting the treasure of good qualities in human being. I am lucky enough to say MOHD.RAFI is the biggest king on the earth because he possess the treasury of highest number of songs ever rendered by a single playback singer with a superb voice? quality, highest number of hit songs, highest humber of popular songs, and highest humber of unheared songs, I salute such an uncrowned king of kings Mohd.
